By texting Carl or joining the waitlist at carl.golf, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English — read them.
What Carl is
Carl is a golf tee time concierge that operates through text message, currently serving the greater Boston area. Carl searches booking platforms, calls pro shops directly, and texts you back with available tee times and a recommendation.
Carl is in private beta. The service is incomplete, may have gaps in coverage, and will change as the beta progresses. Use it accordingly.
What Carl is not
Carl is a booking assistant, not a booking platform. When Carl recommends a tee time and sends you a booking link, you complete the reservation directly with the course or through their booking system. The golf course — not Carl — is the party you're making a reservation with.
Carl is not responsible for course conditions, pace of play, pricing changes, or a course cancelling a tee time. If a course closes for maintenance the morning of your round, that's between you and the course.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate information. If you tell Carl you need 4 spots and book a 2-spot tee time, that's on you.
When payment features launch, you're responsible for maintaining a valid payment method. We'll tell you clearly before any charge goes through.
Don't use Carl to spam or abuse pro shops. Carl calls courses on your behalf. Treating that channel responsibly is part of using the service.
Cancellations and refunds
Tee time cancellation policies vary by course. Carl will tell you the course's policy before you confirm a booking. Refunds for cancellable tee times are handled by the course directly.
If and when Carl introduces a paid subscription, you can cancel at any time. We don't do annual lock-ins without a clear opt-in.
Beta disclaimer
Carl is provided as-is during the private beta. The service may be unavailable or miss courses you're looking for. We make no guarantees about uptime or result completeness during beta.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll text you before they take effect. Continuing to use Carl after that means you accept the updated terms.
