Keep the closer round and the Plymouth trip separate
Braintree and Quincy can suit a group wanting golf closer to Boston. Scituate and Plymouth deserve a larger time budget. Choose the destination and round length first; a premium riding package and a municipal nine answer different needs.
Braintree
For 18 holes before 3pm, Braintree residents pay $42 Monday–Thursday or $52 Friday–Sunday; non-residents pay $57 or $68. After 4:30pm, the published green fee is $26 Monday–Thursday or $28 Friday–Sunday. Cart fees are separate.
All tee times are booked online. The sheet opens at 6pm seven days ahead. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead by telephone or in person; email does not count.
Presidents
Walking 18 costs $53 Monday–Thursday or $63 Friday–Sunday and holidays. Twilight is $36 or $43. An 18-hole cart adds $22 per rider. The weekday nine-hole fee is $31 until 2pm.
The course is an 18-hole Norfolk County facility in North Quincy. Use the public booking portal on its official website; yearly subscribers have a separate portal.
Furnace Brook
For a weekday nine, Quincy residents pay $30 and non-residents $40; Friday–Sunday nine-hole fees are $40 and $50. A nine-hole cart adds $15 per rider. The course is at 20 Reservoir Road, Quincy.
Public reservations open three days ahead. Public play is available Monday–Thursday, Friday before 10am and weekends after 3pm during the April–November season. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
Widow’s Walk
For May 5–November 16, 2026, walking 18 costs $50 Monday–Friday or $60 on weekends and holidays. Nine holes costs $30 or $34. Carts add $22 per rider for 18 or $12 for nine. The early-spring and late-autumn rate card is lower.
Reserve through the official Widow’s Walk website and check the selected tee time’s terms. A late-day fee is not a promise to finish 18 holes.
Crosswinds
An 18-hole round costs $75 Monday–Thursday and $96 Friday–Sunday, with a cart included. Nine holes is $47 or $52. The facility has three nine-hole courses; check the combination assigned to your round.
Public bookings open seven days ahead. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Range balls and rentals are separate from the green fee.
Pinehills
From May 2 through October 18, 2026, either Pinehills course costs $140 Monday–Thursday or $175 Friday–Sunday. After 2:30pm, those rates are $100 and $115. A cart and range balls are included. Spring and late-autumn rates differ; check the date-specific rate card.
Regular online reservations open ten days ahead at midnight; same-day bookings are by phone. Limited advance weekend reservations require prepayment. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
Waverly Oaks
Prime-season May–October 18-hole rates are $110 Monday–Thursday and $145 Friday–Sunday, with a GPS cart and range balls included. Twilight is $90 or $110 and does not guarantee 18 holes. Carts must return 15 minutes before sunset.
Changes and cancellations are free until 24 hours before play; the group owes payment for late cancellations and no-shows. The separate group advance-booking program has its own prepayment and fee terms.
The public window can be the deciding detail
Braintree releases online at 6pm seven days ahead. Furnace Brook public weekend play starts after 3pm in its April–November season. Pinehills opens regular online reservations ten days ahead at midnight. Put the course’s own rule in your calendar.
