Back-to-back tee times in Phoenix: what counts as a usable block?

Carl's take

A handful of green buttons is not a group booking. Check distinct starts, exact player eligibility and the whole departure window before you share an option.

Count distinct starts, not rate rows

A booking site may show pay-now and pay-later prices for the same departure. Those are alternative offers, not eight places across two starts. A usable group block needs distinct times with a feasible player assignment at each one. Carl never adds rate variants together as extra capacity.

Capacity and eligibility are also different. A start can have four open spots but only accept bookings for three or four players. Sending two there does not work. Carl checks the minimum and allowed counts on the normalized public offer instead of relying on the largest number displayed.

Keep one layout, round and payment choice

Nearby times at two layouts are not a single-course block. The same goes for mixing nine and eighteen holes. Make the chosen layout and round length explicit before assigning golfers. Where a public payment label is provided, keep it consistent across the starts in an option.

Quintero separates nonresident pay-now and pay-later offers from resident pricing. A visitor group needs eligible public offers. The checked price belongs to that date and offer; a rate label or old screenshot is not a permanent fee schedule.

Be precise about back-to-back

Carl looks for nearby observed online starts, with a default maximum gap of fifteen minutes between selected times. It shows the actual span from first departure to last. The public engine may omit sold, restricted or otherwise hidden starts, so those results do not prove strict adjacency on the full tee sheet.

If having nobody between your groups is essential, ask the course to confirm that condition. If the request has a hard window, every selected start must fit inside it. A first start inside the window is not enough when the last one falls outside.

Share a check, then confirm a booking

Carl’s link contains the checked date, local times, player assignments, fee basis and snapshot timestamp. It expires after 24 hours and contains no personal roster. Unknown fees remain unknown; a total appears only when every assigned start has a known advertised per-person price.

Ask for a fresh check before payment, then have the course confirm the full block and its group terms. We-Ko-Pa has a separate route for groups of twelve or more. Carl cannot hold the later starts while the organizer books the first, and it cannot guarantee that separate checkouts succeed together.

Build and share your group’s tee-time request. Carl checks supported sheets; the planner itself does not establish availability.

Frequently asked questions

Are pay-now and pay-later offers separate tee times?

No. They can be alternative rates for the same start. Count the time once and use a consistent eligible public payment option.

Does Carl guarantee truly consecutive starts?

It finds nearby observed online starts and shows the spacing. Hidden tee-sheet entries may exist; the course must confirm strict adjacency and secure the whole block.
